LUXURIOUS TOWNHOUSE

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

OBJECTIVE

Furnish this newly constructed modern home in a masculine but textured way.

This newly constructed three bedroom townhouse in San Francisco was an architectural gem, and I came along at the end of construction. The home had been scarcely furnished with a few key pieces, but overall felt empty and cold.

The client directed me to add more layers of texture through additional furniture, authentic art, greenery, and textiles. The two guest bedrooms were completely redone, and the master bedroom was layered with large plants and custom window seat cushions. Also the art chosen was big and brightly colored, complimented by the generous sunlight the room received.

Downstairs, we added throw pillows with varying geometric patterns for pop, soft blankets, and a custom media credenza. The large leather sofa and vintage coffee table were existing.

In the kitchen, we complimented the high end stainless steel appliances with rustic pottery, worn cookbooks, and pops of color to accent the custom blue tiles from Fireclay. Accessories were carefully curated and placed in groups to create vignettes around the room.
