I’m Ericka James, and I believe that your home should be the ultimate reflection of who you are—not just a catalog of trends. Based in the Bay Area, my work is built on the belief that great design is an act of storytelling. I thrive on bridging the gap between historical integrity and modern-day living, creating spaces that feel as elevated as they are inherently comfortable.

My design philosophy is rooted in the "art of the edit." I help clients "cherry-pick" their most meaningful heirlooms—whether it’s a collection of rare first-edition books, heritage artifacts, or cherished antiques—and re-contextualize them within a clean, contemporary framework. I love the challenge of balancing global inspirations, like the refined hospitality of Bangkok or the organic textures of Tulum, with the clean, structural lines of California modernism.

Recent work includes a featured space in the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, where I had the privilege of transforming a landmark property. It was an incredible opportunity to push the boundaries of what a historic space can be, focusing on the atmospheric power of layered lighting and custom architectural interventions.
